So it's a spoof of all the events that have occurred in IB, in chronological order, as it would appear in the Smash Hit Broadway Musical! Course, we'll be a little more free with the characters, since everybody's being made fun of, and we must burst into song at random moments! [Curtains rise, CAIUS is sitting at a desk, downstage center, writing at a desk.] Caius: These are the last orders of Sir Caius Leonis, Viscount of Xen. I suppose you'd be curious, well, I was too... MY HAND I BALLED, INTO AN IRON FIST AND I DIPPED INTO THE FUTURE AS FAR AS IT WOULD GO. I PUSHED WITH ALL MY MIGHT AND MY SWORD DID AS TOLD, AND I CARVED AN EMPIRE OUT OF THE SEA. As you read this now, I only have one request of you, to hear my story, without any reservations. This is the first and only article. [The desk is pushed off the stage quickly and a new backdrop falls behind the stage. A winded backstage worker pushes and heaves a fake gangplank in front of the boat and dock backdrop. CASSIUS sweeps onto the stage with a flourish, as NEPHIE and CAIUS walk in calmly to begin the scene.] Cassius: Seems the human cities are stinking as ever. Ooo, but looking good Nephie. [Wind blows up Nephie's cloak, very Marylin Monroe-style.] Rawr. |
