Step 1:
Go to the folder with the image you want to make .png in it.

Step 2:
Select the image.

Step 3:
Right click the image. (Only once)

Step 4:
Find where it says "Edit", and then select that by left clicking it once.

Step 5:
If your computer is on defaults (it usually is), then Microsoft Paint will open your file. Once it is open, at the top of window, find where it says "File." Select that by left clicking once. On the menu that opens, find where it says "Save As" NOT JUST "Save." Select "Save As" by left clicking once.

Step 6:
The Save window will open, showing the folder where it will save to. (This should be the same folder the image is already in.) At the bottom, name your file whatever you want.

Step 7:
Click the drop down arrow where it says "Save as type:" This will give you a list of filetypes to choose from. Find ".PNG (Portable Networks Graphic)" on the list and chose it by left clicking once. The list will disappear, and .PNG will be selected.

Step 8:
Click the Save button in the bottom right of the window.

Step 9:
Close Microsoft Paint.
