Can't see an invisible ninja.

So, I just saw Ninja Assassin, and it was the most epic movie I have ever seen, pretty much. It's entirely focused on the teenage male. At the beginning, this guy's head got sliced in half. It was ridiculous. And they fought in the middle of the road. It was amazing. All blood, blood, blood, and more blood, but hey, that's not such a bad thing. Especially in the context of ninjas. I use this movie to support my claim that ninjas>samurai>pirates. This movie was cooler than The Last Samurai, and cooler than any pirate movie I've ever seen. But that's me. What do you think? |

Releasing control art restriction systems 3… 2… 1. Approval of Situation A recognized. Commencing the Cromwell Invocation. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered silent. I have no name, only a bar code. The pen is indeed mightier than the sword...when launched out of a rail gun. By day, test subject. By night, ninja. Nightcrawler is the original BAMF. I'm just a fig newton of your imagination. Blink and you're dead. | |

Well, that all depends. Does it have a plot? |

Not a great one, but it's still really really cool. The exorbitant coolness makes up for the lack of good plot. |

Although judging from its title alone, I don't really think it NEEDS much in the way of a plot. It'd be like, the Borderlands of movies. |

Like I said, the exorbitant coolness makes up for the lack of a good, original plot. |

The title just makes me laugh, though; it's a little hard to take it seriously. |

*nodnod* Exactly. That's the first thing I thought when I saw the trailer for that. Ninja Assassin? What's next, Fighter Warrior? Then again, the principle of "if it's cool enough it doesn't have to have a plot" explains quite a lot about most of 1337's stories...

No, 1337's stories have a plot, it's the ACTION scenes he needs to work on. |

As opposed to this movie. Yes, it was plotless. Yes, it was the ultimate cheese, but it still made me feel quite fuzzy inside. Fuzzy, as in lining my stomach with kitten fur fuzzy. |

I've always found that the best way to write action is to do it, then read it, and try to imagine the scene in your head based JUST on the words you wrote. If it still gives you that warm fuzzy feeling, you're good. |
