So, earlier this year, Turbine took Dungeons and Dragons Online: Stormreach and re-released it as a free-to-play game, Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. The game itself is set in the Eberron setting (think low fantasy with steampunk elements) and I played it in Closed Beta for about a week, lost interest and left it. A few days ago, I tried it again, and I was pretty impressed at how much the folks at Turbine have added to the game. Thinking back to my time in Closed Beta, I felt that the experience would be more fun if I had a party with me, not only to keep me company, but to tackle hard and elite level quests. That being said, I have decided to start a little DDO group on Cannith server. I am currently playing a level 3 Vanguard Fighter (Cataphrak Stormraider). If anyone wants to join me, just finish the storyline quests on Korthos Island (the tutorial) and drop me a line ingame/post your character name and class here. DDO's got two main features going for it. First of all, you can get started with a relatively small (about 500 megs) initial download. Turbine's download manager (should) download the rest as you play. This makes getting into the game pretty quick. Secondly, DDO's quest system means that the vast majority of your xp comes from quest completion, not from killing monsters. This means if a group of people do a quest together, they get the same levels of loot, the same exp and nobody gets shafted. |

I might join up in a month or so, as soon as I take another college class, and have an opportunity to get one of those wonderful college laptops that actually has enough RAM. I would join now, but my current laptop is fat and has no RAM. |

Releasing control art restriction systems 3… 2… 1. Approval of Situation A recognized. Commencing the Cromwell Invocation. Ability restrictions lifted for limited use until the enemy has been rendered silent. I have no name, only a bar code. The pen is indeed mightier than the sword...when launched out of a rail gun. By day, test subject. By night, ninja. Nightcrawler is the original BAMF. I'm just a fig newton of your imagination. Blink and you're dead. | |

Crasen Dento, the Level 3 "SHOOP DA WHOOP" Cleric, as well as <Insert Name>, her Miniature Giant Radscorpion, are at your service. ![]() By the way, will any one of us be founding a Comm guild in there (provided we have the points)? |
