For lunch, I ate freshly barbecued meat at a restaurant. I mean, the waiter gave us plates full of the raw meat and barbecued them right there on the table (which had a cooker), so we had nicely charred chicken, beef strips, ribs, shrimp, and squid still bursting with flavour. And it was awesome. |

I have family in Vancouver but that doesn't mean I'll be able to go there. Those of you who know of my deviantart should know of that new picture that I drew...in like 30 minutes, that I really like because it can somehow work. It made me happy to draw it until I realised that Hungary would try to kill me. lol. |

That picture made my day xD I wrote two (short) chapters for a fanfiction I started, posted them both on ff.net, and I'm pretty happy with it so far. 's a fairly depressing fic, according to the few people who've read it, but that's still good, right? |

Finally got the new computer up and running, with W7 64x. Everything's also finally working, with the exception of my WMP11 miniplayer, which to me is a big disappointment. However, to combat that, I did locate the correct run file for FEditor Adv, so work on the hack can continue without me having to switch between computers. If we aren't literally snowed in tomorrow (It's be snowing nonstop since 7~ish this morning), then I may also be getting my new 20" Flatscreen monitor and dumping this piece of crap CRT behemoth consuming my desk space. After that, all that's left is replacing the similarly ancient keyboard and finding seeds for these ISO torrents... I feel unloved. D: |

Apparently the local schools closed today before it even started snowing at all. Today it snowed pretty much all day. I didn't get a white Christmas but I got one day that was white all over. It never even started melting and just slowly covered everything. We just stayed in and watched The Muppet Show most of the afternoon with the cats and the last of the leftover Christmas cookies. Snow, and yet also sunshine. (If we get hideously snowed in and lose power or whatever, I'll take that back.) |

Nic's school closed and they all got sent home at lunchtime on Tuesday, even though the snow had barely started settling, and stayed closed on Wednesday. Admittedly, on Wednesday we ended up with about 4 inches, which by local standards is a lot. (Yeah, I know. Don't get scathing. But Warwick doesn't do snow. Last time we got this much was in 1991.) Even I got a snow day - the first one in my life!  When I was at school you didn't have have snow days; you just got into school if you could.

We're out of school today, too, for weather. I swear, it hasn't snowed a quarter of an inch since yesterday, and there is not a cloud in the sky. I'm starting to doubt our school board's sanity. More than I used to, I mean. |
