Ello Comm! TehDono here! Now you all can bow down to your supreme ruler. -crickets- Thought not. Anyways, the name's Danielle. My friends call me Dani for short. I'm not good at the introductions, unless there in Japanese. So if I start ranting, sorry. I found the Comm through a certain admin whom you all know. Yeah, I'm talking about you, Zeth. Anyways, my hobbies consist of writing, fanfiction, roleplaying, video games, anything Japanese related, music. I've been roleplaying for the past 4-5 years, roughly. Also, interesting fact: I've been taking Japanese for the past 3 1/2 years and have studied abroad for 6 weeks. Naturally, I love anime, though with the lack of any good new animes in recent years, I've fallen into a Japanese low: J-Dramas. Video games wise, I'm more for the narrative than the gameplay. That's my poor excuse for I suck at shooters, or anything that really requires quick reflexes. I'm more of an RPGer, namely JRPGs. I'm currently working on the games of the Tales Series, as Final Fantasy has fallen so far. But if there's any non JRPG I'm good at, it's Dead or Alive (wipe the nosebleeds guys). Sorry, but that's one fighting game I know inside and out. A few years ago, I would have said I wanted to become a writer. While I still love to write, that passion has never left me, and I do have a thousand stories running around in my head, I've realized that's a distant dream. Writers starve. It doesn't help that my once distant dream of learning Japanese came a close reality. I'd say I want to teach, but honestly I don't really know what I want to do with my life. But I'm young - I got a few years to figure it out. Now for the specifics: Favorite book series is The Belgariad by David Eddings and The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher. I'm a high/epic fantasy girl. With the fall of the Final Fantasy franchise and the rise of Bandai/Namco's Tales series, I can say without a doubt that my favorite video game is Tales of Symphonia. In Japan I found an amazing twist to an already amazing story, so my favorite Manga is Pandora Hearts by Jun Mochizuki. There are too many animes for me to pick just one. By far, my favorite J-Drama is Akai Ito (Red Thread). I'm a sucker for a good romance. Currently, I'm playing Tales of the Abyss, watching Eureka Seven, and I just finished reading The Codex Alera. I'm working on one major fanfiction: Lost Ground. It's a Teen Titan's fanfiction, so sue me. Music wise, I've become obsessed with the Japanese program "Vocaloid2". It's by fans for fans. I could go on an age long rant on how amazing they are, but I think I've ranted enough. I guess I need to wrap this up. As I've said, I've been RPing for the past 4-5 years. Owned a few RP forums of my own, as well as modded in some. I've been in a few month long hiatus, being in a creative rut and other things beyond my control. I'm currently still in that same creative rut, but after talking with Zeth for a while, I figured that staying in my virtual beach house away from the RPing society wasn't the best solution in the world. I'm Cata, one of the other mods. I run the Freikorps, and Tales of the Infinite Sea. I'm not easy to get along with, but I'm sure we won't have any problems with each other (assuming that your intro post wasn't authored by one of YOUR evil clones). Remember to read the rules, especially the one about necro-posting and feel free to join/start an RP if you wish. (I won't pressure you into joining mine since it's all realpolitik and high level diplomacy at this point) Lastly, your Belgariad-reading and Eureka 7-watching have been noted. I approve (though I prefer The Malloreon myself.) |

Then yes. @ Cataphrak: -stands wide eyed, staring at the heaping pile of scrap metal- No, I assure you, my evil clone is locked away in a high maintenance security prison in the dark hole on an isolated island in the middle of the Antartic. As for the RPing, as I've said, I have a few thousands of ideas running through my head at any given point in time, but I'm still in a creative rut. As much as Zeth has told me about your wonderful roleplay, I think it'd be rather hard to just find a place to jump in after so long. I've read the first half of the Malloreon, my father having the volumes. Never got to reading the second half, considering my 2nd volume had been lost. |

I had to skip King of the Murgos since I couldn't find it anywhere. I went straight to the third book and kept going from there. Personally, I think the last two are the best, especially since it explains... Spoiler: click to toggle

welcome to the Comm Cata's already got the rules schpeel out of the way, so have fun. And even if you don't feel like joining Cata's RP, there are many others ((Well, two. maybe.)) and if you think you have an idea, the Section's criteria are vague enough that any sort of RP you wish to add wouldn't be wrong. |

Love his Dresden Files. Haven't started the Codex Alera yet. But yeah. I'm 1337, resident ninja. If you need anyone/thing stolen or 'removed,' just PM me and I'll get the job done. By the way, I currently attend the school that Zeth used to attend, as do many of your fellow Commers. I'm the only one that's really active, though. The others seem to have dropped off the face of the Comm, though they do make rare appearances. If you see one, document it heavily for posterity's sake. |

I just finished the last book today! I was so happy, loved every minute of it. I definitely recommend it. It's a really nice twist on just some basic fantasy elements. The complete opposite, I haven't read the Dresden Files yet. But then again, I'm not sure how well I'll enjoy them. As I said, I'm more of you hard core high/epic fantasy. |
