AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

So after being here for a good year and a half or so, I've finally decided to post some of my art.

Well, okay, for a long time I couldn't post any art, due to not having a scanner handy. But then we got one from my grandpa, and it *ahem* conveniently happens to be in my room right now, mainly because no one else really needs it. I kept thinking I would post art when I had a good stack of good drawings, but then this morning I just thought, "Screw it," and gathered up what I had. It's mostly fairly new, but it varies in terms of subject, completeness, and quality. It's almost all people, because...I guess that's just what I tend to draw. If I could, I would just sit down and draw all the things I'd like to have down on paper, a whole stack of all the drawings you would want to see and with plenty variety, but my brain doesn't really work that way. So there will probably be more drawings added, hopefully some better ones with more than just random people in them, but for now, you can see what I have.

So, here you go. You can judge for yourself how good it all is. They have minor scanneritis; downsizing the image page might help a bit...

Shark: Ivan's evil alter ego. Sort of.

Ivan and Shark: Of the Weavers. This is older than the other drawings, which explains Ivan's terrible shoes. I like Shark's fingers, but I'm not sure what's up with his mouth.

Iso: a character from Alakazam. If I accomplish anything major in my life, I want it to be publishing Alakazam. I've been working on it for years now. This is Iso (a nickname; his real name is Isaac), a psychic vampire who works at the local theater. I don't know where the beard came from, since I never envisioned him with one before, but after the second book, I suppose he would have an excuse to look a little scruffy.

That thing in his hand is a flashlight, in case you can't tell. If you can't, I don't blame you.

The Handbook: The only thing on a page of doodles that's worth looking at...this is the crux of an idea I had, and I have no idea where it's going.

Cartoon Link: Drew this one night while I was watching TV and not paying much attention to either the TV or the drawing. It's not really that notable, but I kind of like the shield.

Pokesketches: Just some thumbnails and doodling for some larger drawings I want to do. Looks like someone got mauled by his Charizard.

Remus: Ah, this is a complicated case. Remus here is a main character from a project of mine I was working on a while ago. At some point I mostly dropped it...it seemed too similar to my other stuff, really. But, just yesterday, I was looking through some of my old posts on here and found some quotes I had written for Remus, which kind of made me, well, miss him. I wasn't entirely sure whether I could still drop him, or afford not to, which led to me doing a little drawing of him (which makes this the newest drawing here).

It's not the best, but I kind of like it. His hands are wrong. The right one just looks wonky and I realized after finishing it (more or less) that for the hand holding the cup to be in the position it is, he would have to have two right hands, but I was too lazy to correct it.

Steven (Running Away): This is Steven, the main character of Alakazam. I'm not sure what he's running away from here, but it must be fierce. This is interesting...I like it, but both his posture and expression seem slightly wrong.

Shoe: And this is one of my shoes. I drew this after I drew the one above and was thinking about how hard sneakers are to draw, so I decided to practice. I was going to draw the other one facing forward, but couldn't get the perspective right and gave up.

Vampire: Just a couple of doodles. I think these came about from me thinking about Forever Knight, although the vampire here doesn't look anything like Nick. It just kind of amused me, I suppose.

The Doctor: Annnd finally, it is of course a Doctor Who drawing. I drew this from a picture in one of my Doctor Who books, at a museum while my mom was conducting some research. As you can see it didn't get finished, but I'm rather proud of it. Drawing from pictures or real life is harder than drawing from imagination, but when I get it right, it tends to look better.

That's all for now. Hopefully there will be more later. Comments, please?

He said, "I left my home, where the dead never rose,
For the streets of gold I've yet to find.
And at the end of the day, all you can do is pray,
Without hope, well, you might as well be blind,
Yeah, be blind."
Tomorrow comes a day too soon....tomorrow comes a day too soon.

I like them, they have a style that's very unique to you so, I won't say anything is too wrong.
Sure you can work a bit more on perspective and proportions but those are things you can easily work on if you try.

Hehehe...Edgeworth!Austria.
"Ich werde diese Klavier spielen, weil ich böse bin."
People that know my real name go ahead and use it, I don't care as much if you do anymore.

One can certainly see you developing your own style throughout the images, and as Red said, it is definitely unique to you (which is more than I can say for myself).

My personal favourite is the Doctor. That is just awesome in my opinion. It has a higher degree of detail and proper proportioning while staying true to the said unique style of yours.

As for criticism, you seem to be aware o most of your own flaws, so I doubt there's anything specific I need to add.

Can't see an invisible ninja.

The one thing I'd say is that your people look like both hands are facing the same way, and it looks weird. Like Remus' coffee cup, it looks like it's being held with the right hand, but it's not. You can see his right hand.

Other than that, of course, they're great.

By day, test subject. By night, ninja.

Nightcrawler is the original BAMF.

I'm just a fig newton of your imagination.

Blink and you're dead.

I somehow missed this thread until now. I really like your style, especially the lean look you give them, as Nyx said. My favourites are Ivan/Shark and the Doctor. I like the shading and detail that you've given the Doctor. I also like the way you draw hair, and I think the Doctor is especially good in this respect.
