Alex had actually spoken in German when he went on the story, but I didn't want to write a huge wall of German that only a few people would have understood, so I enclosed it in "<>" to indicate foreign speech. I'll just assume that Max had understood the German for that small moment, people tend to understand each other when it comes to certain subjects, such the one subject I had pointed out in my post. Though I probably should have pointed out that I had meant for the story to be in German, seeing as he would have felt more comfortable speaking in German than in English. If no-one's planning any vital interaction with her character in the near future, couldn't we just assume Shaina is present but not making any important contribution to the conversation for now? |
