:inuit: Have you read a book lately that you absolutely LOVE? Gush about it here!

Me, for one, I LOVE the book Twilight, and all the sequels. They're the best books in the WORLD, and Edward is just amazing. I wish real guys were like him

*sigh*

Actually, I had to read Brave New World for a project and it wasn't half bad. Besides that I have done lots of project reading so nothing has been extraordinary.

I read Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen a few weeks ago. It was really good.

Paradise lost by Milton was very good if you can get past the old English. Very compelling read about Satan and his views of paradise and humanity,

The Odyssey is a really good book too, even if it is written in weird English. I wonder what grade level it is... I have the poetry version, and it's really long...

Wuthering Heights is amazing.

(*looks up at first post* o-o did I really make that? geez, I was hyper...)

Twilight = Foul poison spreading to cover the Earth in mediocre, pathetic writing that effectively keeps out good young writers because publishing companies are too busy printing the garbage that shames the trees who sacrificed their lives for it to be written on.

But I digress.

I recently read "A Tale of Time City", and I fell in love with Jonathan, the main character (no, not literally). His little quirks make me happy. :P

I had to read parts of the Odyssey. I might have read all of it.

You should read the Republic. If you want a book that makes you think.. read that!

The "Odyssey" is good, if you have the time to sit down and read it. I'm also reading "Paradise Lost". For class we have to read "The Scarlet Letter", so we'll see how that goes.

Calm down, Ixxy.

I liked Twilight. They weren't my favorite books ever, but they were good.

I'm not really much of a judge, though...so I dunno...

I finished rereading Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce recently.

Now I'm reading Emma by Jane Austen.

I agree with Ixaix.
Right now I'm reading "City of Falling Angels" by John Berendt. He also wrote one of my favorite books about THE BEST CITY ON EARTH, Savannah. "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil."
It's pretty good so far. It's about Vienna when the Fenice burned down. It's very... Society-ish. Talking about politics and who's who in Venice. I like it.

Hmm... The Bartimaeus trillogy is hillarious, not to mention original and engaging. The Abhorsen Trilogy is great; Garth Nix is awesome! Anything by Terry Prachet (except Masquerade; I found it reeaally boring...) is hillarious! Margeret Weis and Tracey Hickman are both wonderful writers, along with all those other Dragonlance people. The Twilight series was okay, but I don't usually read romance... Harry Potter was awesome! And I can't think of anything else right now...
Bow before the Lord of the Raccoons!!

I'm gonna finish Pride and Prejudice as soon as I find it again and remember where I was when I lost the book a couple months ago... I was getting a little bored with it anyway. But I'll probably have to read it someday anyway for school, so I might as well read it now.
