... Okay. My brain went into overdrive a few days ago, but it's settled back to it's usual lull of stupidity. You? |

Mmm, so-so. Can't complain, but it's been kinda dull and repetitive. We did play the Chinese version of hackey-sack today, though; that raised life's awesomeness a few points. |

A new guy turned up at our Japanese class today. He says he's been learning Japanese for 10 years! I think he's going to find this class very boring and simplistic. But we got chatting after the class and I said I could write Japanese reasonably well but I'm very bad at speaking it. He apparently is the other way around. He taught English in Japan for a while and says he can speak it fairly confidently, but is very bad at writing it. So he's suggested we get together and do some joint studying. That could be really useful!

I got 1200 points (or more. I can't remember.) in Dino Puzzle on Mario's graphing calculator. That made life good 4th hour. |

My life is in a sucky state at the moment. You know it gets bad when your own parents are opening admitting to you that they know you need to get out more. Usually, I believe, it's the other way around. On the other hand, school is going fine, or rather not going- my brother takes the ACT next week, and my mom is working really hard to get him ready for that, so I'm not really doing anything aside from getting a lot of current events, since what with the election and all the news has been on pretty much non-stop in our house. With me it's kind of a toss-up....I sleep in until past nine most mornings now, but there doesn't seem to be a lot left to bother getting up for.... |

Ugh, my days are frantic and overbooked nowadays, as my move has put me terribly, terribly behind in all my classes, especially German, where I am just starting, and everyone else is 2 months in. ![]() AP US History is proving irritable, but not impossible. That class at my old school started in the 1850's, but in my new-but-actually-older school, I'm rewinding to the 1790's. PreCalc is a most confusing quagmire of "aheadness" and "behindness". ![]() I breezed through Monday's activities, which was a review of stuff I've been doing since Freshman year. After that the teacher through a review packet at us for a quiz. I knew most of the stuff on there, but had forgotten just about every bit of it. It's coming back with the help of the teacher and some friends, except for a couple of things (4 items on the quiz review) that I have never had any experience with before. Chemistry is ridiculously easy, but horribly awkward for me. Where I was this past year, Chemistry is a junior class, and Biology sophomore, so I've had Biology but not Chemistry. Where I am now, Biology is Junior and Chemistry is sophomore. So while I'm breezing through assignments, everyone in the class is either a year below me or incredibly stupid. Arts and Humanities is this semester, Principles of Engineering is next. A&H is so easy I'm almost regretting it (though between Chem, A&H, and Webpage Design, I finished Brisinger in less than 4 days). HTML/Webpage Design is frustrating thus far. I ensured that I would get one of my favorite teachers, but ATM I'm sitting in that class doing nothing because our school's moron of a Technical Committee is dragging its feet. Today was the 4th day since I've returned and I still have not had my computer account enabled. ![]() English is a disaster, mostly because I despise the teacher with every fiber of my being. Hopefully I'll be swapping that for another English class either tomorrow or Monday. I've been placed in Honors English, but found that there is a very nice AP Lit and Writing class that fits into my schedule that also has the bonus of not only having a great teacher (from what I gathered from a first impression), being Advanced Placement, being focused on Writing instead of reading, but having a bucketload of my old friends in it. You bet I snapped up that opportunity. Hopefully I can speak with the counselor in the morning between my early morning class and first hour, and not have to go to the Honors English class even one more time... But yeah, my life's good too.

Ah, that explains why you haven't been on much. A lot of the teachers still miss you here. Oh, and you missed 38/a on the chemistry test. ![]() What's so bad about the English teacher? |

Oh they do, do they? Just how MUCH do they miss moi? I DEMAND QUOTES AND NAMES! She's just plain cruel. I can't give examples, but just in demeanor. Do you know what I mean? She's the kind of person to go off at the drop of a hat and her assignments are brutal. I don't know how, but I was greatly relieved I had somehow managed to impress her in the week I was in her class. She was barely upset when I told her I was switching out of her class. (Yeah, I will be taking AP Lit and Writing instead of Honors English 3 now. I look forward to bothseeing some more of my friends and writing my wheesely black guts out.)I also forgot to mention my APUSH teacher. For those of you at BCHS, I want you to imagine the Chem teacher. A mental photo if you will. Now, age that photo 'bout 15 years. You now know EXACTLY, down to the last hair and eye color, what my APUSH teacher looks like. |
